Mexico or Mexico City, Span. Ciudad de México (Méjico), city ( pop. 8,,; met. area est. 20,,), central Mexico, capital and largest city of Mexico. The Modern City Mexico City forms the core of the Federal District and is the commercial, industrial, financial, political, and cultural center of .   For me, one such place is Puebla. An easy two-hour drive or bus ride southeast of Mexico City, Puebla seems light years away from the pollution and buzz of the capital. Since I can't travel right now, I'm trying to settle for a good read. What books would you recommend about Mexico? Not travel guides I'm thinking more along the lines of.
